I think computer crimes are very bad because hackers trick the people you know into doing things like sending money to them for some random reason.With credit cards those same hackers could steal all of your money and you wouldn’t even know till it was too late. I don’t have to worry about the credit card fraud because I don’t have one. I’m not too worried about my e-mails because most of my passwords are different.

Computer crime can broadly be defined as criminal activity involving an information technology infrastructure, including illegal access (unauthorized access), illegal interception (by technical means of non-public transmissions of computer data to, from or within a computer system), data interference (unauthorized damaging, deletion, deterioration, alteration or suppression of computer data), systems interference (interfering with the functioning of a computer system by inputting, transmitting, damaging, deleting, deteriorating, altering or suppressing computer data), misuse of devices, forgery (ID theft), and electronic fraud. From what I have seen there is way to much computer crime going on in our society. The computer crimes are related to security crimes such as what is going on with the bank. Someone either on the inside, or someone obviously on the outside, hacked into the system to obtain personal information about the bank customers and employees. In my opinion, the hackers are always going to be one step ahead of the new security updates so there has to be some way to outsmart them. That’s all I can really think about soo…………….

I believe that if you compose a computer crime you are horrible person. People that create viruses are just wasting their time to cause suffering to people because they have fun doing so or they want to steal and scam people. Hackers are constantly finding new ways to break through security and steal or damage computers. Instead of contributing to society these people scourge the World Wide Web decrease the movement of society by stealing from other people in our society. Nowadays people are using online websites such as ‘MySpace’ or ‘facebook’ to steal, scam, or persuade people. The web is a scary place filled with predators and thieves. Recently on the news there is a report about predators finding young kids online. Also hackers are hacking facebooks to pretend to be legitimate and persuading people into giving them money.

I think that people who do computer crimes are stupid for doing it because it could get you in a lot of trouble. But also I can see the good things that come out from doing a computer crime. People who think they can trust a person on facebook or MySpace enough to go see them those people are really stupid. If people haven’t been watching T.V. and seen that people make fake accounts so why go see the person.

For example, Using a computer, a scanner, graphics software, and a high-quality color laser or ink jet printer for forgery or counterfeiting is the same crime as using an old-fashioned printing press with ink. Stealing a laptop computer with proprietary information stored on the hard disk inside the computer is the same crime as stealing a briefcase that contains papers with proprietary information. Using computers can be another way to commit either larceny or fraud. Change a grade on a school transcript; add "money" to a checking account, etc. Unauthorized changing of data is generally a fraudulent act. Reflection: I believe the fact that this person stole someone’s identity for money is wrong. It puts people in a very hard position with little to no money. Many people who try to hack computers will eventually be caught and punished. They should stop and think what if it was them getting scammed out of their money.

A case of commercial computer theft might drive a company out of business. A cracker's prank might not actually cause damage at all but it might cause a video game company or another computer user some annoyance. Some computer crimes are perpetrated for kicks, and some for social or political causes; others are the serious business of professional criminals. I think people have way too much time on their hands. First of all if you’re making a virus just to have some fun, you seriously need to do something with your life. Second it’s annoying. Last but not least just a get a life.
